Abstract:
Spanish political science professor Ramon Cotarelo has not only bitterly criticized the Spanish government but also all Spanish political parties for their antidemocratic and repressive approach on dealing with the Catalan issue.
He shows his pessimism with the turn the issue may take in the future, but he also points that the Spanish government’s rough and repressive attitude may trigger the international community’s reaction, ultimately leading out to a compromised and agreed referendum.
