Abstract:
The Coronavirus health crisis has reinforced the border that divides the Basques, the border that Spain and France have imposed on us, says the author of the article. The Spanish and French authorities have decided to close the borders, thus accentuating the division between the Basques of the North and those of the South. At the same time, this health crisis has shown who is in charge in the Basque Country: the Spanish government in the South and the French government in the North. Madrid has taken advantage of the crisis to take command and centralize crisis management at will.
