Abstract:
Aratz Gallastegi was an outstanding Basque rugby player, who in 1999 refused, due to political convictions, to play with the Spanish national rugby team.
In this article, Mr. Gallastegi believes that no Basque nationalist should play, being consistent, representing the national sports teams of Spain or France, countries that deny the Basque Country to have its own sports teams.
When a Basque athlete plays with the Spanish national team, he/she is strengthening the Spanish nation, and weakening our own nation, Euskal Herria.
