Abstract:
The author of the article mentions the linguistic humiliation she suffered in a store of a well-known Basque telephone company, when she addressed the employee in Basque, who answered her in Spanish, telling her that she knew how to speak Basque but did not feel like doing so.
The author regrets that in her town there are many Basque companies whose employees do not know the Basque language. That’s why, we Basque speakers are running out of handles.
